Philadelphia Baby Photos | A Gorgeous Baby and His Amazing Parents
You ever have it happen that you meet someone and instantly you’re like, “YESssssss!”, about pretty much everything? That’s what happened when I met this family. Is there a word for when you just kind of feel it? There should be. Anyway, this family came in and within minutes, I was like, “Okay, when can we hang out?” Just loved them all right away!
Also, their baby is GORGEOUS so that’s something too. Don’t miss those dimples below. More of them to come, too!
We used a lot of beautiful colors in this session, which he pulled off perfectly. I particularly like how he looks on this jewel toned red.
There was no pose that we had planned, or that his mom wanted, that he didn’t do. Perfect man! This is one of my favorite froggy poses of the year right here!
A lot of new parents don’t want to be in the photos - maybe not feeling camera ready after a long first week with very little sleep figuring out that new parent thing. I don’t push them although I definitely encourage it! I like this twist where we see baby’s daddy in the photo but he didn’t have to look his best for this. I also of course love what the meaning is behind this kind of photo (“you’re safe in your dad’s hands” is sort of how I always think of this).
Dad isn’t just “Dad” by the way, but a world class artist, whose work has been shown all over the world, including in Philadelphia International Airport. Here is a link to his work at the airport. His work is amazing - my family is fortunate to own an original that hangs in our living room, and I would say it’s my husband and my kid’s favorite thing in our home.
This was an “in between” shot. He had on the outfit, but I was switching to a different backdrop. But, OMG right??? When you have a smile this big, and this gorgeous, you go with it! I love this so much - have you ever seen a smile like this on a baby?!?
Nature stuff. I don’t know why but it feels like babies go perfectly with items from nature. I love babies with plants, flowers, herbs, etc. I love the simplicity of this shot, too. It’s a new pose/setup for me but definitely one I’d do again! I like his cute expression here too.
To recap: Two people fell in love, had a baby, came to me. I fell in love with all three of them and took beautiful photos of them. The end. <3
