Baby Girl | Delaware County Newborn Photographer

I love a challenge. I love when someone presents me with an idea that they have and I get to make it work within my own aesthetic. When it works, the sense of accomplishment is awesome. And, usually, so are the results, right? Stretching your creative muscles is fun no matter what your profession.Baby S's mama gave me such an opportunity.  We talked a bit about what they were looking for in her newborn session, and then she hit me with this: "We're both into crossfit, so we want to try to incorporate a kettlebell into her session." Record scratch - whaaaat? I was like, how? How am I going to make a ten pound lump of steel work in with a newborn baby? But then. I fleshed it out with a really smart teenager I know (teenagers are really the best, I'm not kidding) and this image was born. And, right? It is pretty awesome.Crossfit BabyI get a little giggly every time I look at this. Because really. This is a baby in a sweatband with a kettlebell, people! I adore a baby with a smile. It's just the sweetest thing! And, pink, on pink, with pretty pinky baby skin? Swoon.scarlett-034-2 web Baby fingers. The little details are the things that make my heart skip a beat.best of Philly newborn photographer I have been loving me a black and white photo these days. Plus, this girl is so sweet and perfect just unadorned and posed beautifully. This was one of those times.best of philly newborn photographer Daddy and baby girl? Daddy and baby at all, actually. Love.  scarlett-273 web And, as a mother, I know what this feeling feels like. Like, "You are my everything" and "There is nothing better in the world than being your mother" and like, ten thousand other amazing, loving, best-feeling-in-the-world feelings. I'm so glad I could capture this moment.best of Philly newborn photographer I also got to talk for a while with this mama. One of the best parts of being a newborn photographer is getting to connect with people who are starting their journey as parents and see how much we really are alike and just how connected we all are and how much we can all learn from one another.
