Best of Delco Newborn Photographer | A Daughter is Born

This little darling girl was one of my first post-quarantine babies. Mama had to miss her maternity session due to Covid, and I did NOT want to have to cancel on her again for a newborn session. I knew she was so looking forward to it and disappointing new moms is not high on my list of things that I like to do. Plus, she had booked so early and she was so kind and darling that I was really excited to meet her and do her session. As luck would have it, we did not have to cancel because the idea of having missed out on these gorgeous images makes me incredibly sad to think about!

I’m pretty sure that this image below is one of my most favorite parent images in recent memory. Okay, it IS my favorite. Like, blow-it-up-huge-and-hang-it-in-my-studio kind of favorite.

Baby girl let me pose her pretty much in any pose without arguing. Maybe she knew her mama needed a break in the form of an excellent newborn session because, well, COVID! I can’t imagine all of the precautions (NOT that I’m saying they weren’t necessary, just that they were hard) like not having Dad present at the appointments, etc. We have all been through a lot over the past six months, haven’t we? I’m hoping that you are reading this blog post with a coffee (or whatever your “relax me time” drink is) and putting your feet up while you do so.

I also love that I got to use some of my favorite (older and newer) backdrops like the one below, which is a newer one - it’s perfect for her! I may have gone overboard with quarantine prop shopping - it’s a thing - because this pretty little tieback is also new and I think matches the drop perfectly. Plus, dainty tiebacks (headbands? Maybe only photographers call them tiebacks. Let me know in the comments please!) were really perfect on her.

This mattress and pillow set is also a quarantine acquisition, although the sleeper and bed are not. Is she not darling as ANYTHING in this pose below? I love her little fingers and cheeks and lips here, and her foot dangling over the edge of the bed. Thanks, baby girl, you definitely made this photographer a happy lady!

I feel like I may be using the word favorite a lot here so I’m going to pull out a thesaurus. Okay, I’m really not - but I probably could google some synonyms. Because this pose below is high on my current “things I like very much” list and she was kind enough to sleep through it and look very adorable while doing so.

All in all, this was a fun and fantastic session for her kind and darling mama. I’m so glad it wasn’t covid-precluded and that she made sure of that!
