It's a Boy! | Baby Photos Philly

One of the things I love about a newborn session is spending the day with the new parents. It’s really fun to spend the time getting to know them, hearing their ideas about being new parents, but I think my favorite thing is asking people how they met. When I think about some of my favorite clients over the years, I almost always think about their meeting story. Do other people enjoy hearing about this? It’s honestly one of my favorite things!

This family was no exception - what a fun meeting story! (It’s not mine to tell, here, though, so I’ll just say, fun!)

It was also super fun to do this guy’s newborn session. I loved getting to work with him and bring his mama’s ideas (including fall color because he was born in fall was one of her requests. Check out the second photo - see how you think I did! Other shots also incorporated it, too.)

For sure these awake photos just have to be done in black and white. I feel like they do such a great job of showcasing the uniqueness and personality (YES, little babies DEFINITELY have personality!) of each baby.

Oh, this burnt orange sleeper. The person who makes my sleepers (click here) does such a beautiful job. I keep emailing her with more color requests and she always accommodates exactly what I want.
I adore how it pairs with this rug - I’m not sure what the deal is but it absolutely makes my heart sing. And then the burnt orange layer? I love color harmony like this along monochromatic repeating tones. Yes, please!

Another tone on tone situation here with the green. Isn’t he divine in this color? With his cute little fingers and adorable chin… I just love how these jewel tones look perfect with this handsome baby.

I love this backdrop so much that I try to use it as much as I can. It seems very appropriate for boys and girls to me - and I love the idea of a baby under the big, beautiful night sky. This boy is no exception - what a perfect pose and a relaxed little darling he is here.

One of my favorite poses right here. I think I like how it’s so simple but shows the baby off so perfectly. They just look so relaxed when they squish into this pose correctly. We can still achieve baby modesty while showing their perfect baby selves off in this pose. Look at how pretty his lips are. Just a beautiful baby!

If you are thinking about having a newborn session for your new little one when they arrive, please send me an email as soon as the thought crosses your mind! I often prebook months out - and I only take a limited amount of sessions per month, so I can assure that I’ll be able to get you in when you contact me early.
