Rustic Cake Smash (and Splash) - Philadelphia Cake Smash Photographer
I love my clients. Like not in an “I love coffee” or “I love brunch” sort of a way.
But, usually, when I connect with people - we fall hard.
When I met This Family for their newborn session, it was this way! We had friends in common, we just clicked, and it was comfortable. We have stayed in touch, as I do. It’s so much fun for me to watch people’s adventures in the first year, to watch their love affair as they fall more deeply in love with their baby, to see their babies hitting milestones and getting big!
And such has been the way with this family. They do big fun stuff. Adventuring, traveling.
So, we’ve also been discussing Cooper’s cake smash session for a while too. I absolutely love the collaborative part of this process. Kicking ideas around, fleshing things out, working off of each other’s ideas. Mom came up with this banner - it’s hers and not something I have in studio.
We did some fun camping stuff, too. And then this simple, beautiful, woodland themed cake smash.
I have mentioned this before on cake smash blog posts, but some babies just do not love cake. I mean, I love cake. But, not all babies go face down and go to town. Cooper was midway between “this makes me ill” and “this makes my life complete”.
Enter my secret weapon. The Tub.
Here’s the thing - most one year olds LOVE the bath. They love it at home, they love it at my studio. We always wind up with adorably happy photos from the tub!
