Philadelphia Maternity Photographer | Beauty in Fall

There is nothing as beautiful as fall in Philadelphia. I love this city so much, and I absolutely love to see the beauty of the city in the fall, in the golden light. As a maternity photographer, it is, to me, one of the prettiest backdrops for a pregnant mama, if she is lucky enough to be having her maternity photographs done then.I have had a few maternity photography sessions in the last few weeks, and each has been as lovely as the next. I'm so excited to share them with you. Because, to me, the thing that is as beautiful as this city, and this season, is a beautiful mama to be, awaiting the arrival of her little one.And, because I'm me, I tend to also fall in love with the people. I love when they tell me their story, I am honored to be the person who captures it for them for all of time, and I love and cherish when someone shows me themselves or lets me in for a little while. I try to be gentle with that, to be honest with that, to show them the beauty that I see on this side of the camera. I love to see the look between spouses, the laugh with the head thrown back, the small smile as she spends a minute connecting with her baby.Often, I get to meet those babies later, and that's such a treat too! To get to meet these people who just a few short weeks ago were expecting, wondering, hoping. Now, often just a few short weeks later, I meet them as parents. Their world has changed, their lives are forever changed, they have fallen completely in love with their baby, they have learned a lifetime's worth in a week already.They didn't even mean to match. She changed her outfit at the last minute. They're just that good.   Love. Just loved the tenderness between these two.  Love this light.  See? I love these two. <3 Don't they just match perfectly with this gorgeous spot? No, she's NOT a model. Isn't she beyond, though? Her friend made her this little onesie. We had to shoot it before we left. Also, I <3 Philadelphia. I'm meeting their new little one tomorrow! Can't wait!
