Little Mo | Delaware County Newborn Photographer

I met Little Mo’s family when her big sister was just born. Her mom got my name from another newborn photographer who’d found me on social media. Can I just make a tiny aside and say that I know sometimes social media can really stink but that I have met some really great people, both in the newborn photography community and in other various areas of “personal interest” for me? Maybe I have my head in the clouds and also - I am very glad I’m not 12 and navigating coming of age in the age of social media but I’ve made some great connections on Instagram, too. Okay, back to Mo. I photographed her big sister and her big brother, who had just become a big brother for the first time. Boy was he adorable.

And mom is gorgeous, and dad is funny and sweet and handsome and they’re basically the most adorable and darling family ever. For real. And, I’m lucky - I’ve gotten to photograph them quite a few times over the years. They’re always adorable. They call the middle child “Sister”. Who would not melt over that?!

I was so thrilled when I heard that Sister was gonna be a big sister! And in they rolled with Little Mo. Cause that’s the best name E V E R for a baby sister. Fight me if you don’t agree.

I also got to hear the story of how her parents met, probably one of my favorite things to know about people. I loved it and felt lucky to get to sit and listen while chatting with mom. I sometimes talk too much and sometimes ask too many questions. I guess I could apologize for it, but just know I’m working on the former and am happy to do the latter.

I’m also happy to report that recently, some babies have been happy to be awake for a few minutes and let me photograph them with their cute big eyes open. This is one such baby and I love this photo. There was a part of me that wanted to clean the itty bitty spots up around her mouth but then the part of me who is a sentimental fool almost fought that part of me so they remain. It’s the right call. Thanks for being bad ass, Sentimental Fool Self.

Also, I firmly believe that every mama needs a picture of herself with each of her babies. Alone. This is goals, right?

And, this is one of my favorites from the session. Not just because I do love a baby smile, but because this fabric and Little Mo is a perfect combination.

Pretty much all faces of Mo’s are awesome and I love this photo too.

I hope her parents have 100 more kids. They make pretty babies who grow up adorable!
