First, I have to tell you, you can't hate this gorgeous, skinny mama for looking this good while pregnant with her FOURTH child, because she is so nice, so laid back, and so funny that you seriously just won't be able to. I have had the privilege of shooting her and her family for a few years now, from when there were just two kids. I feel so lucky to have the best clients in Philadelphia.So, we got a bunch of great shots with mama and her babies, but she was also really wanting a maternity silhouette photo. You know, the kind with a lot of sky in the background at or around sunset? I love those. She does too!Unfortunately, the place we started out had no skyline at all, just trees. We tried a bunch of locations that were either locked, unusable, or otherwise not sky-ful. We were just kind of driving around, looking for a great spot, and losing light.And then we came upon a construction site. Not a regular old construction site, but a huge one. Like, whole shopping mall sized. With trucks whose wheels were taller than my entire body. So, I motioned to her to pull in. There was no one there but one guy who was sort of cleaning up and heading back to his truck. We parked, and ran up on some huge piles of rocks. Oh, did I mention we ran? Like, across a football field? Yeah, recall that she's like, 32 weeks pregnant! She was a sport. Ten minutes later, we were done. And she had her silhouette. I was so happy to be able to do whatever it took to get her the photo she wanted. And, it's hanging huge in her son's bedroom.Here is one of them, one of my favorites.I love this one, too.And another favorite. What is it with me and headless maternity shots?! I love them!
